Rulebook

How to Play

Objective: finish the game with the most money.

Components

4Company Cards with dials
4Company Event Decks (one per company, 20 cards each)
1Market Manipulation Deck (80 cards)
20Investment Tokens (5 per player)
75pieces of Play Money
1Starting Player Token

Game Setup

Lay out the boardPlace the 4 Company Cards in the center of the table. Set each dial to $50.
Prepare the decksShuffle each Company Event Deck and place it face down on its company's "event" spot. Shuffle the Market Manipulation Deck and keep it within reach.
Distribute resourcesEach player gets $500 and 5 Investment Tokens. Return unused components to the box.
Pick the starting playerThe player with the most finance-related job goes first and takes the Starting Player Token. Play proceeds clockwise.

Each Round: 5 Phases

Draw & ResearchChoose one hand size:
- 5 Market Manipulation cards, or
- 3 Market Manipulation cards and a peek at the top Event card of one company.
Cards from earlier rounds count. Discard down or draw up to your chosen hand size.
InvestStarting with the Starting Player and going clockwise, place one Investment Token per turn on any company. Keep going until you have placed all five or pass. Once you pass, you are out for the round. Then pay the bank: current price × tokens on each company. Players can share companies and spread tokens around.
ManipulateGoing clockwise from the Starting Player, play one Market Manipulation card at a time, up to three per round, or pass. Effects happen immediately and can change prices, event decks or positions. Once you pass, you are out until next round.
Company EventThe Starting Player reveals the top card of each Company Event deck, in any order, and resolves each immediately.
CollectSell everything: collect current price × your tokens on each company, then apply Special Rules. Tokens go back to their owners and the Starting Player Token passes clockwise. Unplayed cards can be kept or discarded to refresh next round.

Special Rules

Shorting

Flip a token to its "short" side. In the Invest phase you receive the company price from the bank instead of paying it. In the Collect phase you pay the bank back the new price.

Bankruptcy

If a price hits $0, the government bails the company out! After the Collect phase its price resets to $10. Non-short tokens on it are out of the game for the next round.

Negative Prices

Company prices cannot drop below $0.

Rounding

Whenever a value is halved, round up.

Base Hand Sizing

If an event changes how many cards are drawn next round, adjust both base hand options (5 with no peek, or 3 with a peek) by that amount.

I graduated from Fordham University in 2025 with a major in Finance and a minor in Computer Science. Outside of work, you can find me on the beach playing volleyball or practicing violin.
